WHAT THIS BOOK IS ABOUT

WHAT MAKES THIS BOOK DIFFERENT

THE BOOK

Building Championship Cultures challenges the assumption that becoming a better leader begins with learning better techniques.

It begins deeper; it begins with the person who leads.

This book explores how ownership, integrity, character, beliefs, standards, behavior, habits, and preparation progressively shape performance and ultimately create culture. Each principle builds upon the last, forming a pathway that transforms leaders from the inside out.

At the center of it all is one fundamental question:

Because before leaders can build championship cultures, they must first become the kind of people capable of leading them.

ABOUT TRANSFORMATION, NOT TECHNIQUES
This isn't a book of quick fixes. It's about becoming the kind of leader that makes others better because you led them.

Building Championship Cultures leadership book by Brian Levin
A DELIBERATE PATHWAY
The principles follow a deliberate progression, with each one laying the foundation for the next.

WHOLE-PERSON LEADERSHIP
Mind, body, heart. True leadership aligns who you are, how you live, and how you treat people.

WHO ARE YOU BECOMING?

ROOTED IN EXPERIENCE AND RESEARCH
Drawn from Special Forces service, collegiate athletics, doctoral research, faith, family, failures, and reflection.

REFLECTIVE AND PRACTICAL
Every chapter includes reflection and challenge questions to help you think deeper and apply what you learn.

Experience has taught me that leadership is not about what we know. It is about how we live, how we lead, annd who people become because of our influence.

Who want to build programs where people developing people and pursuing excellence go hand in hand.

Who want to create cultures of ownership, trust, accountability, standards, and sustainable performance.

Who understand that culture must be built before pressure arrives.

Who recognize that their greatest influence may not become visible until years later.

Who view leadership as stewardship, service, and an opportunity to develop others.

Because leadership is not confined to organizations. It shapes families, relationships, and the person we are becoming.

YOU DON'T NEED A TITLE TO LEAD. WHO YOU BECOME SHAPES THE PEOPLE YOU LEAD.

Developing people who build people.

I began my journey believing success was measured by wins and losses, champonships, and trophies. Over time, God used experiences of service, leadership, failure, and relationships to change my perspective.

I learned that my greatest resposibility was never winning; it was people. The lessons in this book are the result of that journey.

My hope is that these pages equip you to build something that outlives you, by becoming the person God created you to be.

Build people who build people.

That is the greates legacy of all.

WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK

" To help people become the leader they never thought they could be."

Two Worlds background.png

TWO WORLDS. ONE LEADERSHIP MISSION.

This isn't a leadership philosophy developed solely in a classroom. The priniciples in Building Championship Cultures were shaped through decades of experience in two very different high-performance environments.

ATHLETICS

Twenty years in the U.S. Army Special Forces provided lessons about trust, preparartion, accountability, standards, teamwork, adaptability, and leading when circumstances are difficult.

More than fifteen years in collegiate athletics provided another laboratory of leadership; recruiting, developing young people, managing adversity, handing success and failure, and pursuing championships.

DIFFERENT MISSIONS, DIFFERENT PEOPLE. DIFFERENT STAKES.
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF LEADERSHIP REMAINED THE SAME: DEVELOP PEOPLE

BRIAN LEVIN

COACH. LEADER. CULTURE BUILDER.

Brian Levin's approach to leadership was shaped across more than three decades of developing people in two demanding environments: U.S. Army Special Forces and collegiate athletics.

He served twenty years in the U.S. Army, including service with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), before beginning a coaching career spanning professional softball and NCAA Division I, II, and III athletics.

His experiences as a soldier, coach, educator, husband, father, and student of leadership created a desire to better understand how people develop. That pusuit eventually led Brian to earn a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Sport and Athletic Management and to develop the Trinitas Principis Leadership Framework.

Today, his work centers on a simple belief:

LEADERSHIP ISN'T ULTIMATELY ABOUT WHAT WE ACCOMPLISH.
IT'S ABOUT WHO WE BECOME, AND WHO OTHERS BECOME BECAUSE WE LED THEM.

BEYOND THE RESUME'

My leadership philosophy wasn't formed only by missions, championships, degrees, or positions. It was shaped by the people I have been entrusted to lead.

FORMER PLAYERS WHO REMAIN PART OF MY LIFE.

YOUNG PEOPLE WHO GREW INTO LEADERS THEMSELVES.

DIFFICULT SEASONS THAT FORCED ME TO EXAMINE MYSELF.

FAITH, FAMILY, AND EXPERIENCES THAT CHANGED MY VIEW OF SUCCESS.

Those experiences ultimately changed the question from

"What can we accomplish?" to "Who are we becoming?

That question sits at the heart of Building Championship Cultures.

LEADERSHIP ISN'T ULTIMATELY ABOUT WHAT WE ACCOMPLISH. IT'S ABOUT WHO WE BECOME-AND WHO OTHERS BECOME BECAUSE WE LED THEM.
